The Crippled Alewive Spoon with it’s attached feathered teaser hook is designed for trolling, casting or spinning. The patented off-center curvature gives the lure a crippled action - oscillating from side to side imitating a wounded alewive or minnow. For over 80 years, the Crippled Alewive Lure Company has been hand crafting fishing lures in the Chesapeake Bay area.

Our expertly crafted spoons are available in eight sizes and since 1939 have proven effective catchers in both fresh and saltwater targeting many species. Crippled Alewive Spoons are constructed of solid brass and are available in finishes of chrome, gold or custom-color combinations.

Available in 8 sizes, our smaller CA spoons (0/0, 1/0, 3/0, 5/0 and 7/0) are effective for cast/retrieve or trolling. These small spoons are deadly for all freshwater species including Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Nothern Pike, Muskie and Walleye as well as saltwater varieties including Bluefish, Mackerel, Rockfish, Stripers, Striped Bass, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Tuna and Dolphin.

The larger CA spoons (9/0, 11/0 and 13/0) are results producing trolling lures targeting the saltwater species mentioned above; Bluefish, Rockfish, Stripers, Striped Bass, Wahoo, Tuna and Dolphin.
